Profile Avilli-111: Icarus

Born and raised in Lynorre, flight was the only thing Icarus had ever known. His ability to traverse the skies was stripped away due to a failed onogar hunt. Icarus and his friend, Helios, traveled to Durmur in order to help with the onogar problem. Icarus thought they were untouchable and didn't take much care in mapping out their route and planning their exploration. The duo were tracking one down and ended up in the middle of a hunting ground. They were quickly ambushed by the onogari and instead of fleeing, they decided to stay and fight, thinking that the beasts were nothing like the legends. Icarus' overconfidence caused the death of his friend and the loss of one of his wings. He was rescued by a rogue hunting party that stumbled across the carnage. Both physically and mentally unable to return to the city of Lynorre, he opted to stay in Durmur. Under the guidance of Dargan, he worked with the voxibell to craft a new wing to replace the one that he lost. However, this wasn't good enough for him. The longing to return to his home and explain what had happened was too great. His lack of flight left an ache in his very being that couldn't be filled. In order to travel the skies once more, he dedicates himself to studying air magic in the hopes that with it, his new wing will become usable and he's able to return home.
